CONNECTING THE SCHOOL & HOME

The adults (teachers and parents) who help us implement our principles are given full support through:

TEACHER WORKSHOPS AND TRAININGS

Our teachers consist of a group of qualified, experienced sensitive adults who work with children because they choose to make a difference in each child’s life. Our teachers are fun loving, responsible and know that in order to teach, we must constantly learn.

We have workshops every month which help the teachers to learn new skills and update themselves on new theories and research on holistic early childhood education. The teachers also have regular interclass and school meetings, which enable them to plan  and implement an enriched hands-on curriculum.

PARENT MEETINGS AND WORKSHOPS

We see the parents as the first teachers of the child. We encourage you to share your ideas and welcome suggestions. We also support you in helping your child through termly-parent workshops which focus on different areas (i.e. discipline, homework, art etc).

We hold regular individual parent-teacher meetings every last Wednesday of the month to discuss your child’s progress, share your child’s developmental profile and answer any of your concerns. We give out short reports every term.

REGULAR COMMUNICATION

We believe that communication is the cornerstone to a healthy school/home connection. We stay connected to you through beginning of term class meetings, monthly meetings and we have an open door policy for you to come and meet us regarding any concerns you may have.

The teachers also send out monthly newsletters which let you know what your child is doing and share children’s photographs. We encourage you to come in and spend time with us at school through our Parent Participation program.
