My World Msasani has been created as an Early Childhood Center of Excellence. Tying together decades of experience in child development and progressive play-based learning, we offer a unique facility and fully immersive curriculum for your child to thrive in.

Like the Upanga Campus, the Msasani campus resides on permanent premises. This enables us to consistently develop and enrich our facilities providing a long term guarantee of quality and excellence.

We envision the My World Msasani campus as a holistic facility which will provide for all educational and enriched learning experiences for children and adults of all ages through the years. The next phase will see the development of our conference rooms and teacher training facility. We also plan on having a specially designed Baby Center which will prove to be a valuable resource for families and neighboring communities.

Our long term goals include a community center; a space of connections and learning. This space is envisioned as the home of soul food; storytelling spaces, swimming facilities, an art center, soft-room, a dance studio for yoga, meditation .... Spaces for children and families to come together, to play, to read and to learn.

Meet the Team...

THE CLASSES:

Our four spacious classrooms; two toddler classes (7 by 9 meters) and two KG classrooms (8 by 8 meters) exceed international standards for space per child ratio and are specifically designed with children's needs in mind by Community Playthings; makers of high quality furniture and toys for over 65 years. Community Playthings provides resources to centers of excellence all over the world.

"Over the years, visionaries like Carolyn Pratt and Anita Rui Olds have helped steer our designs. Their message was clear: keep it simple, keep it natural, and keep it open-ended." - Community Playthings

All the classes are fully equipped with Community Playthings child sized furniture and have access to a spacious outdoor area, which allows children to work in a large space and enables teachers to plan interesting hands-on learning sessions. All classes have ac's and are properly ventilated for fresh air and sunshine. The child adult ratio is 16:5 for the 1.5-3 years class and 16:4 for the 3-6 years classes.

The classes are the children's second homes and contain photos of them and their families. Plants and multicultural artifacts create a warm homelike feel to the environment.

“Community Playthings is excited that our high quality early childhood furniture was selected for use in the new My World Pre School in Tanzania!  From the beginning it was clear to us that we were working with wonderful individuals who understood the intrinsic needs of children and how to deliver a high quality program.

THE LIBRARY

Our library contains an extensive collection of children books for small and large group reading, research resources for project work and reference books for teachers and parents. We also have a large multimedia library which parents are welcome to access.

HOME SUPPORT READING PROGRAM

In order to fully support the love of reading, we have in place a reading program which allows children to take home one book everyday and three books for the weekend. We encourage parents to read to the children from a young age as this is a beautiful bonding time. The home reading program starts from the 1-2 year class.
